I stumbled upon this and thought it might be of interest to others...

I know this is an old thread, but I recently downloaded this CD and think it is just great. Best newly discovered artist for me this year. I love the tone he gets from his bass, the trio is superb, great soloing ideas, and I am going to trancribe one of his solos.

Haven't figured out how to read his website though, as google states it is already translated, but most of it is in German.

They have the slowest A Night In Tunisia that I've heard, and I love it. I'm not too fond of the original song but this slower version is fantastic. Very contemplative, gels better with the whole "night" idea after all ;D

I've liked these guys for a while, a bit over a year now. I noticed they weren't mentioned at all in the emusic thread -- perhaps because it's all standards, and the variations on them don't stand out until you give 'em a listen? Either way, great stuff.

I haven't crosschecked the dates but I may well have posted this before the eMusic thread was started.

Anyway, thanks for rejuvenating this thread, I'm listening to this and enjoying it all over again.
