I am sure this thread is badly missing a few of Ed's posts. Can't make that up for him. I'd like to remind everybody that music ain't an olympic discipline. Chowlie (Mingus) was very sarcastic on that subject.

I go through phases where I'm fascinated with one player or another at a given time. I listened to Charlie on the "Missouri Sky" CD several times last year and never tired of it. Then, like magic he appeared before me at a gig here in town in the same period - unreal. Currently, I'm loving this guys sound - Trey Henry, LA player with Tierney Sutton. Just hearing him playing whole notes is enough.
