We don't often have the chance to hear first hand from people whose music (in this genre) affects us deeply and constantly. Take advantage of it while you can, none of us are going to be around forever. Just think, what if you could e-mail Bird?

Not underated, IMO, by people who are aware of his work before and after his time with Bill.
Chuck was and still is one of the great jazz bassists, and will remain so.

| | | Not under rated. Fame isn't the only measuring tool for success in music.
I think reading the articles on his web page ought to be enough to convince you that "badass" doesn't really apply! |

I had the opportunity to chat with him at a gig of his and had a great conversation on many aspects of the jazz world. He's an opinionated guy, but he has spent a lot of time thinking about jazz and music in general and is well worth talking to if you get a chance. |
