Any fans here? I am from Winnipeg, his city of birth, and I believe he will be coming to play shortly.

He's a great player; both jazz and classical.
Great tone and intonation, solid accompanist and nice solist.
For those interested, he uses Thomastik Dominants.

Great musician, definetily one of my influences, I've been listening to him since the early 80's, and whenevr he's in Denver-CO I help him out taking him from one place to another, funny how some of thew greatest musicians are so humble! I guess they don't have to prove anything to anybody, they're above all that crap.

Very enjoyable player. And Two By Two is a great concept. I'd gag if I had to listen to an entire CD of Peterson

I thought I'd hook somebody with that.
In the late 50's, early 60's, Miles just totally dissed Oscar in Down Beat. I thought he was nuts. 30 years later, I began to understand what Miles was talking about. Just too relentless. Bill Charlap can be very busy, but with more imagination and variety (for me). I won't listen to OP all the way through. That's just me.

There would be a few reasons to listen (and not to listen) to OP. To his benefit, you know who it is by the second note.
