I don't know about "modern rock", but I just heard Levon's "Electric Dirt" with that tune for the first time this morning... sounds like all DB to me.

Oh, man... rock? yes, gospel, old-time fiddle, bluegrass, blues, dixieland jazz, call it what you want but those are some tight harmonies and sweet arrangements.... and many people say his previous CD is better ? I need .

Haven't been around here for awhile and just noticed this thread. Please forgive me for dredging up the past, but no one mentioned...

Lou Reed: "Walk on the Wild Side"

It's got both an upright and a BG line. I'm trying to get both bass parts down at the same time...

Amongst others, I think Will Lee has done both parts on his slab by utilizing tap/hammer-on slides, but I'm trying to do it on upright... Getting both parts audible, clean and in tune is a bee-atch. I'm not worried about timing, I have none.
