Attention NYC area bassists. I just saw in the "New Yorker" this small blurb:

STEFANO SCODANIBBIO
Shortly before his death, Luciano Berio asked the virtuoso double bassist to "reinvent' his "Sequenza XIV', originally written for cello. Scondanibbio performs the New York premier of the piece at Columbia University's Casa Italiana, along with Jacob Druckman's classic "Valentine" and a selection of his own works. (1116 Amsterdam Ave. Nov. 17 at 8 pm. Tickets at the door.)

I checked out Stefano's website and it's listed on there as well. Don't know if I can make it, but I thought I would spread the word.
