what a sound, huh!

that old italian bass was GORGEOUS and of course his technique is amazing. It was eye opening to see him do his thing in such close proximity.

yeah, it was really great to be so close.

he did a great job of supporting questions from bass-geeks and non-bassists alike.

i was sitting way up front and was really amazed at his technique, but also that even he had a little trouble starting pieces perfectly in-tune (i mean, it was still really good, but you could hear him warm up to it).

it wasn't the same to pick up my own bass this morning. got a lotta work to do to make it sound that easy...

Meyers Played in Salem

Hey guys.
Cool that you got to see Edgar Meyers up close and personal too! He came to Salem, OR (My home town) For a lecture on basses and to perform for us live. He is an amazing Bassist for sure, and I even got to take home his autograph = )! He performed at Willamette University, and it was a sight to behold. He really knows his stuff!

Really glad I got to meet him. It's really a once in a lifetime opportunity!
