Sorry I didn't get to meet you all after the class yesterday, I had to bolt. I was the guy who asked him about the pizz stuff.

That was very cool of Edgar to go a full 3 1/2 hours. I got the feeling he could have done 3 more. He was one of the warmest and most down to earth educators I've ever seen. His playing peaks for itself. Tremendous afternoon.

Victor Wooten/Flecktones

Oldsaw, I assume the guy you saw was Victor Lamont Wooten, who is one of Fleck's original "Flecktones."

I know nothing about EBG, but I watched the taped performance by the Flecktones on DTV last month. Wooten did things on the EBG (fretless, 6-string) that I simply would not have thought possible. Amazing technique, amazing musicality.

He did a three-or-four minute unaccompanied version of "Amazing Grace" that just blew me away.

Edgar guests with the Flecktones on occasion; looks like Vic was returning the favor.

How about some masterclass minutes for those of us who couldn't attend?

Meyer's commentary was in the context of the pieces played by the students; not alot said that would be meaningful on its own.
He did get a laugh when he observed that our worst playing is probably not that different from our best.
