The essential Rufus Reid

Maybe you guys can help me out! I really enjoy Reid's work with Donald Byrd and wanted some suggestions for other pieces that might be considered "essential" recordings by him. Honestly my Jazz knowledge is rather limited and therefore rather selective.
So if anyone could assist me in finding more albums that showcase Reid's work, I would be very thankful!

I vaguely remember him doing some nice stuff on a Jack DeJohnette album, maybe one of his "Directions" bands. A friend played it for me long ago. Maybe Lonnie Plaxico could fill you in, as he did a stint with Jack too.
