Grenadier/arco?

I'm wondering if anyone has heard Larry play arco. His intonation is consistantly awesome. I've never heard or seen him play arco and never seen a quiver on his bass. He also has been using the Velvet strings which are not great arco.

Well, I was a senior at University when he was a freshman. At the time I could hear him consistently working on the Dragonetti Concerto. Nice guy!

There is a new Kevin Hays/Seamus Blake album called Sangha Quartet - Fear of Roaming and he bows the melody on one tune. He seems to not struggle with the velvets....one of my idols!
