hillbillies

I hope it's not out of line to give a review in this forum. Today I saw a group called Billy and the Hillbillies at the Puyallup Fair. All I can say is, wow, they call themselves hillbillies, a thin disguise for outstanding showmanship and musicianship. The bassist, John "Billy" Marshall is an awesome slap bassist and performer. A delight to watch. The mandolin player, Evan "Billy" Marshall is a well renowned player who regularly plays classical. I have never seen so many different ways of playing the bass. Now I am inspired to practice more. If anyone gets the chance, I recommend you check them out.
