Thumbs up Ibragimov

Just got Rinat Ibragamov's (Principal of London) Bottesini CD. S#!+ he's one classy player. Lot's of inspiration. His technique and intonation are flawless. But his sound, his sound! Damn Brit's you're lucky to have this guy around.

I was looking for more info about this incredible musician, and I found this topic..
I saw a pair of videos on the web,and listened to some mp3 in his own website.
What can I say.. it's simply amazing.. his way is so brilliant and his sound is incredible. It's easy to imagine how 10years as a cellist have influenced his playing.. (just look at his fingerings, how he moves his fingers, and especially his right hand).
The Russian way is clearly noticeable..he's dramatically always IN the string..wonderful.
Some friends of mine who were present in 1989 in Parma at the Final of the Bottesini Competition told me that when he started playin', people around was looking for where the amplifier was... I can only guess what they're talking about...

Someone has some info...? where he'll be for masterclasses.. or someone do know him personally? I'll be really curious to know more about Mr Ibragimov.

Best regards.
