Oh man, that is a name I hadn't heard in awhile. One of the first good bassists I ever saw....saw him with Monty Alexander at the Wichita Jazz Festival about 18 years ago. Had a nice sound.

I think Ira Coleman sounds great on Herbie's "Gershwin's World" CD. I got to know him a bit as we were on a tour in Germany together a few years ago, he with Dee Dee Bridgewater, I was with Terry Callier. We did five concerts in wonderful halls and he played his prototype of the Czech Ease bass that he developed with David Gage. Wonderful player.

I met Ira about the same time. He said he learned tons from playing with Monte. Very nice person.
As for the video, how would anyone here hold up with Jackson and Roker hearing every single note you played?
