I would really like to know more about this guy. I have heard some of his playing with Jamal, but that is it so far. I really dig his sequential lines, very pretty. It would be great to find some other classic or quintessential records with this man. I checked the newbie links and I didnt see anything specifically on him. All input is welcome. Thanks.

Thanks, man. Good stuff. What an underated player. Its a shame he wasnt able to be more prolific...there is definetly not enough Isreal out there.

Israel Crosby's last recording is George Shearing's Jazz Moments on Capitol. He plays beautifuuly and there are some
interesting odd-meter arrangements as well.
Crosby is on a Benny Goodman Yale archive recording (I don't know what volume,offhand).
