Jay Leonhart

Anyone check out the current Bassplayer issue? About time we all hear about this Gifted Humanbeing/Musician.You boys in NY are lucky to have this cat as a neighbor.
This man is one of the funniest, most talented bassists around....Go on his sight and check out the clips from his live act "The Bass Lesson".
The stuff about Ray Brown and Jay's encounter's are priceless.... A must read !!!!

This last issue was probably my favorite bass player mag of all time. Willie Weeks AND Jay Leonhart. I have a bunch of his solo cds and enjoy his songs and his playing a great deal. Glad to see him get recognized in magazines. Listening to Four Duke as I type.

Jay

Jay's a great player and the best jazz comedian since Jack Sheldon.
I crack up just looking at him.
