There was a great little interview with Mr.Betts on NPR yesterday, with some soundclips. Whatta cool guy. He celebrated his 75th on this past Tuesday. He's just finished recording his first solo CD. I was very pleased to see him get some recognition.

isn't he from West Virginia? I thought he used to play w/Bob Thompson in the clubs, before I was old enough to get in.

I don't know where he's from, but he lives in Silver Spring Md.
