Cool Latin bass players

Hey,
Does anyone know what bass Miguel Gonzalez of Elvis Crespo's band uses? I have searched extensively. Also, are there certain brands these Latin players prefer or have been seen using and why? Elvis Crespo and other Merengue bands dominate with the low B if you all can listen some time, amazing clarity and low end.

You might want to try posting in the Bass Guitar forum. There's a lot of info on Latin players of there. I have a thread with a ton of info in it; however, I have to go dig it up.

Here is the link to the thread. There's a guy named Alvaro that offers up a ton of great info. Open the thread and do a search for merengue.

Enjoy:

I saw them a few years back and the bassist played a Modulus.

Isaias Leclerc (Toño Rosario) uses Ken Smith, Eliezer Gonzalez (Grupomania) uses Yamaha, Victor "Poty" Cruz (Elvis Crespo) uses Custom made R basses.

Most of the recent merengue recordings are recorded by these three.
