London Symphony Masterclass... kindof...

on my daily rounds through youtube, i found a section dedicated to their new symphony project which i found to be very interesting. The project has musicians from all over the world submit videos of themselves playing a piece written for the "YSO" and if people participate and they can put together a nice show, submitters have a chance to lay at Carnegie Hall. How cool is that?
well anyway, the site has links for all instruments to view a masterclass session with a London Symphony Orchestra member. The one for bass has the Principle chair bassist, Rinat Ibragimov, going through the new piece but he also plays Mozart 39 and some Beethoven. I thought it was worth while to see and hear how bassists of the professional caliber play.
so heres the link:

PS: his accent gets thicker as the video goes along so dont strain to much in trying to understand

Thanks for posting this! He is one of my faves. I have his all bottesini disc and love it. I tried to start a thread about him a while back but...

I really like his bow arm. I often see German bow players with their other fingers this loose, but not French bow players. He often only has index and thumb on the stick. Any suggestions for practicing/playing with such a relaxed, loose grip? Anyone here study with him?

Bradetich seems to have a similarly loose grip. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAFNbdaRW_4

I've been practicing the last few days with my second, third and fourth fingers very lightly on the bow. I'm having some control issues, but I love the relaxed grip. If anyone has studied with Bradetich or Ibragimov, please give us your thoughts on their grip.
