Jazz/avant-garde bassist extraordinaire Mark Dresser will be performing in a 2-city concert this Saturday--half the performers will be in San Diego at UCSD, and the other half will be at UC Irvine, and they will be linked by Internet2. The entire production will be streamed live. Definitely something to check out!

This multi-art experience will feature original music compositions, live painting and dance collaborations from two locations simultaneously. Five performers will be working in real time using advanced internet technologies to bring their work together. Featured performers at the two sites, are: In Irvine: Oguri, dance; Myra Melford, piano; and Michael Dessen, trombone. In San Diego: Mark Dresser, bass; Billy Mintz, drums and Nancy Ostrovsky, painting. Event is free and open to the public.
