Masterclass in MS:Paul Ellison & Oscar Stagnaro

I rarely post on these forums but my teacher told me to spread the word on these two guys. The University of Southern MS in Hattiesburg MS is having a Bass Symposium April 22-23 the following link will lead to more information.

wow...did I read this right? All events Free?
Totally worth an 8 hour drive from Texas, imo. Oscar is a true latin master and I'm sure Paul isn't too bad either. The only downside, it's in Mississippi! j/kin

Yup

Yup it's free. Yeah Ellison is great, I don't think you get to teaching at rice if your not a fairly good player I can't wait, it's a good ways away but I am already excited. It appears as if I will be playing in the master class so it's good that I have some time to work up my piece.

HA!

Almost worth the drive for me....I live in MS but it is a good 6 hours from my part of MS.

Man, if your in the state you HAVE to make it. Hell depending on your age I can even let you stay in my dorm so you don't have to buy a room. 5 hours is nothing for two days of awesomeness.

I had my turn on stage with Mr. Ellison already.

I'd never stoop to hogging a teacher of his calibre all for myself.

That's very honorable of you. Ha ha, but if your an electric player your still missing out on Stagnaro. And just so you guys know, this is an annual thing for USM.

I am going to bump this because the event is in 10 days. Also if you register for the event before the 17th you will be entered into a drawing for a set of Corelli strings and a Laney RB6 (http://www.activemusician.com/item--HS.RB6). Of course you have to show up to receive the prizes. Come help USM start a great tradition!
