Miloslav Gajdos YouTube

Miloslav Gajdos is one of the greatest bassists alive. It's too bad he isn't known more outside of Eastern Europe anyhow check out this video of him playing Monti's Cardas back in 1996. This is who wrote the arrangement that Patkolo plays with Vengerov on YouTube. Enjoy.

Awesome - thanks mate.
I was having one of those tedious "staring into space" days at work and that cheered me up - I love watching classical DB soloists...
- Gonna have to pull out my Rufus Reid books when I get home now

I completely missed that, and the bottom of string bowing.

and 2nd movement of the Kouss
i wouldve been very very entertained if i saw that. i got the vibe from the audience that they had no idea what was going on during the beginning of the interlude. i dont think i heard one laugh
kudos to Mr. Gajdos for being so brilliant

Hey all,

Glad you like the vid. I'll be posting the whole concert and keep you all up to date. YouTube is a PITA with lengths and formats so it'll be a bit, but the whole concert is great. I just uploaded another video check the link. Take care.

That was taken just off the plane to Chicago from Kromeriz Czech. Jetlagged and all. Here's two more I just posted from the same concert.

The name of the piece is Prelude and Fugue for solo double bass. Get it here http://www.tutti.co.uk/sheet-music/p...DDHES-RM38-S53 Yo can't but them separately.

Nice! I'd actually be afraid to shake hands with him if I was a lefty.. he must have a mighty strong hand to be able to fluently play a lot of that.
