Milt was there, though, and of course he had his camera along. His wife took some 8mm home movies of the event as well. Footage is featured in the GDIH documentary.
As for Milt, it's difficult to say anything bad about his playing--didn't play bushels full of 16th notes, but he was a master of taste. I don't have a particular album that's a favorite, but it was fun to hear him on Branford Marsalis's "Trio Jeepy."
He was also a master slapper. |
