Olle Steinholtz

I've been enjoying listening to a swedish bass player Olle Steinholtz, who plays with Elise Einarsdotter Ensemble (piano/bass duo, sometimes vocals). The liner notes on the album "sketches of roses" raised more questions for me than they answered ... has anybody got any more information about this fellow than can be got on the touche music website?

Hi Matthew :-)

Olle has been playing with many of the "top" names
in the Swedish jazz scene.
I know also he has been experimenting a lot with sound, both on upright and bass guitar.
Last time I met him he showed a test of his. He had placed a piezo inside the soundpost of his DB ! Very good sound but easy feedback as the bass itself worked as a membrane.

If you do a search on Google you will find
his name on a lot of recordings/sessions.
He lives just outside of Stockholm City with his family and is a very friendly guy :-)
