Our Marco Panascia

Hey TBers,

I wanted to tell you all about a great show I saw last night. Our own Marco was playing at the Blue Note with Eldar and Todd Strait on drums. All I can say is wow. Marco has it all together. It was a pleasure to watch him play and to see that trio.

They were so SWINGIN! It was quite an inspiring show and it reminded me of why I love this music so much. You could see that all three musicians were having so much fun playing and interacting on stage, and the crowd was way into the show.

Anyway, I can't say enough how great it was. I highly recommend you all check out Marco in Eldar's trio if you have not already. Oh, and by the way he is a really nice person too!

Pete

So, Marco's okay with brisk tempos, then?

From what I've heard of Marco's work, his playing could be a School of Brisk Tempos unto itself .

I'd love to see him live -- any plans for you and Eldar to make any stops in Toronto, Marco? Loved the TB clips you've posted.

Just saw the review of Eldar's new release in Downbeat. They gave it 4 stars. Congrats.

What a nice surprise!

Hey guys,
a thread about... me?! Thank you all for your nice words, I am flattered :-)

Aaron, no gigs in Toronto scheduled yet, but hopefully we'll be heading your way soon!

Just checked out a couple of the vids at Eldar's website. VERY impressive. I'm gonna have to pick up a copy of one of the CD's and check it out. Oh, and Marco sounds pretty good, too.

Yeah, those are nice vids. He seems like a really great kid in the interview sections.

My friends Bob Harrison (bass) and Paul Marchetti (drums) always end up sweating off a few pounds when Eldar comes out here for a show.
