Peter Riegelbauer, Berlin

Hi guys ---

I'm working with Peter Riegelbauer of the Berlin Philharmonic this summer in Switzerland, and I'm trying to get in touch with him regarding my potentially borrowing a bass from someone while in Europe, and also in regards to details about the program itself...

I was wondering if anyone has any advice as to how I can go about contacting him? I can't confirm that I can attend the program until I know that I have a bass to use, so it would be hugely helpful to me to be in touch with my teacher in the program to see if he has any advice about this.

Thanks!

Stupid question maybe, but how can you work with him and don't know how to contact him?
Anyway, did you try to contact the Berlin Philharmonic?
They should be able to forward your contact info to him.

Hope this helps,
François

I got his phone number off the telephone directory assistance once.

There used to be a service in the US called "international directory assistance". A US operator would contact an English speaking German operator and get you the number. Obviously the service was a little more expensive than normal directory assistance.

Peter is not an easy guy to get hold of. He has a management position with the Berlin Phil, he manages the Sharoun (spelling?) ensemble, he teaches, he sells instruments, and he plays full time in the orchestra.

I worked in Germany for 4 years, if you need further assistance you can PM me.
