Recommendations for Edgar Meyer-like bassists?

Something similar to what him and Bela Fleck have together, or similar to the Goat Rodeo Sessions or Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile's project?

Check out the Matt Flinner Trio. Eric Thorin on Bass. Outstanding.

Paul Kowert studied with Edgar and picked up a lot of his style. You can find him playing with the Punch Brothers.

We saw Punch Bros. a few weeks ago and they were fantastic, Paul Kowert included!

Eric Thorin is a terrific player, too. More like a cross between Mike Bub and Edgar Meyer - like Edgar with power. We last saw him in Chilliwack with Brother Mule. Not sure if he's still playing with Open Road but they're a good band, too.

You might want to check out some of the things that Rob Wasserman has done.

Example:

His "Duets" and "Trios" CDs are excellent too.
