Red Mitchell

Okay, I get it now. I was listening to my iPod today and saw the Hampton Hawes record "Seance", don't quite know how it got onto my iPod, but decided to listen to it. I couldn't get over how great the trio sounded and the bassist was perfect. Sound, time, concept, blues, bop, swing. I couldn't wait to get home and look that album up on AllMusic to see who it was...props to Red Mitchell. I guess I'm a fan now.
