The action is really low on the bass also. He's letting the amp work which is where the electricy sound comes from.

I found a 17Meg file in the browser cache, without any extension and copied it over and renamed it with a SWF extension.
However I can't read it.

When looking at the movie in the browser, it was the shockwave applet that was playing it.
Can flash animations have another extension than SWF?

| | | i like it how he uses 'rock' scales, pentatonic etc. he's an original in the sense that you can reconize his style instantly, its his statement. a lot of peope here that dismiss him are the very people that dismiss Haden for the same reason and generally these people are unknown as they have no individual statement to make. |

Loose n' free, floppy, yet sloppy......remember,he is a big star! And part of being a star is putting yourself out there for criticism. Its just one performance in the history of a long career, and maybe not Stanleys best moments preserved for viewing. It's a Hollywood thing......hence the "Groundhog Day" reference is perfect. IMHO |

| | | | I just saw Stanley at the North Sea Jazz festival in Rotterdam his upright playing was just unbelievable. His intonation (even with double stops and chords) was perfect, and rythmic it wasn't sloppy like some of you say. It's more that his solo performances are very loose, wich I prefer. I don't like robotstyle playing. I saw some other upright players that evening but they weren't on that level (by far) |

Neither the hype nor the criticisms are unfounded. Though the harshness of criticisms often stem from being over hyped, particularly in Haden's case..
