THANKS to Ray Parker

Given his input in that thread on bass wheels, I gave him a shout when I needed a replacement wheel for m Gaines and he hooked me up with two web addresses and a brick and mortar right here in Manhattan.

He da bess!

When I went to pick up the wheel, I asked the cats at the (bike) store, "Get many bass players here?" and got a couple of blank looks. When I told'em about what it was a replacement for, they suddenly became interested in how to spread the word to other bassists...

In my quick web search, the tire size that the Gaines uses is the same size that those (damned) chainsaw-motor powered scooters are using.

Ah -- the good with the bad.
