Look for WILBERT De Joode.
I have a record with him. Frank Gratkowski Project "Loft Exile V".
A double quartett with Wilbert and Cologne Bassist Dieter Manderscheid on bass. 138min of free improvisation. Very exciting.

This might be interesting:

The best recordings of him IMO are the trios with Frank Gratkowski and Achim Kaufmann.
Wilbert is a brilliant player and nice guy.
His style is all his own. He is self taught but his technique is brilliant. I saw him last month and it was mind blowing.
He has a tiny bass attributed to John Lott and uses all gut and French bow.

yes its a John Lott. I heard rumors that it used to belong to Barry Guy (the one he used as a piccolo bass0 which would place round 1840 I think.
Wilbert is amazing, have you got his solo CD Damon? Its interesting to hear a free player use gut strings, such a different sound to much of the other players in this genre.

Yes, it did belong to Barry, Wilbert told me. Barry had both of them, Ernst Glerum has the other.
His solo cd "Olo" is incredible.

Attending a masterclass with Wilbert inspired me to take up the double bass in the first place. He is a consummate improviser and a true gentleman.

If I had to recommend just three recordings, they would be his solo disc, "Olo," Kaufmann/Gratkowski/de Joode's "Palae," and (if you can find it) Ab Baars Trio's "Songs"
