Yosuke Inoue is an excellent bassist.

He played here last night with David Berkman's "NY-Tokyo Standards Quartet" (on my Shen 7/8 willow). Wow! He's got something else going on with his soloing concept and the chops he uses to get it across--lots of across-the-fingerboard stuff, all manner of really in-tune double stops, and tight polyrhythms--and his accompanying is superbly tasteful. And all on a bass he played about two notes on before the show started. Really nice cat too.

Cool - I'm hoping to see them tomorrow night. Can't wait!
