'41 kay plywood separation- what to do?

buzz mystery solved- I can hear the lower portion of the back click and crunch by pressing on it.
So the question is- what solutions have people come up with for this problem in the past?
An idea that occured to me yesterday and was then suggested is take it to my favorite luthier to make a slit in the plywood from the back and work glue in through there.
But if the separation is between more than just the outer layers, this seems like it might be difficult. (Isn't that what the gentle crunch sound indicates- that more than one laminate is separating?)
Also its a large area to get glue into in this way (the separation extends through almost the whole bottom of the back).
And then there's the clamping issue. Some kind of mold?

The bass has a great tone and is otherwise in excellent condition- I really want to bring her through.

I talked to Sean Smith, a great New York bassist, about a similar problem, a while back. He mentioned working with a luthier here who used a micro-drill and a glue injector to re-glue the inner layers of laminate.

Hope it helps.
