adhesive removal

What is the best way to remove (from an old Kay upright bass) the adhesive left after removing stickers decals etc with warm soapy water?

IMO 3m adhesive remover is best.at least it is what i use. it is safe for most applications on cars i know i dont think it will hurt anything. or at least i wouldn't be afraid to try it on my bass.

Goo Gone. That's what it's for. You can find it in a lot of stores, including on line at Amazon.

mineral spirits or paint thinner is effective in removing the acrylic adhesive used on most tapes and stickers. May take some rubbing, but it works. Probably the lowest cost solution.

CitraSolv. Similar to goo gone, but works better.
