adjustable soundpost patent

While doing some researches, I accidently found this: an adjustable soundpost (US Patent No. 5208408). For finding the proper soundpost length, this might be useful, but for permanent use, I’d still prefer the traditional soundpost design. However, I haven't tried this yet …

I've included the .tiff from the patent server, which was displayed at my Mac perfectly. i've changed it now, maybe this isn't supported by all systems.

It looks like the one Leo Quan's son developed. I saw it about 5 years ago but never got to play around with it.
