Altering a Stenholm so all notes can lock?

Has anyone ever done this? I'm not asking for myself. It's for a friend!

I have seen this done. It was on David Williamson's bass in Minnesota. It is hard to explain how it is done. He may be able to send you a picture. It involved a small L shaped piece that was on a pivot screw that was flipped with the thumb to hold the back lever open once you opened the stop with the finger. A picture could explain it but I do not have one.

I've got Bob Stenholm's address somewhere in my house. I'll send it to you if I can find it. I'm sure that he would be willing to help if you ask. There are probably others in this group who know how to contact Bob if I can't find it.
