Emory is a friend and quite a talented luthier in his own right. I would trust him with my axe.

I purchased two instruments from Huthmakers. In fact I just happen to be wearing a shirt from there right now... LOL.

In the NC area, Bob Beerman at Bass Violin Shop is the way to go.

There are other qualified luthiers in the area. However, Emory and Bob specialize in basses. Much to be said in that regard.
