Anyone know how to take the shaft out of the Gaines wheel?

I'm looking to purchase another shaft to use with my other bass (a pain to change each time I'm sure but more cost effective than buying a new wheel altogether) but I can't figure it out. There's seems to be a little hole underneath the shaft part but I can find the right piece to fit in there to unscrew the shaft.

Anyone?

On my Gaines wheel there is a little screw (or two I think) that holds the shaft in place. It's right where the shaft meets the wheel assembly. To loosen the screw you need an allen wrench (1.5 or 2 millimeters). It's pretty simple.

Yeah i took those two lugs out but the shaft is still stuck in there. I should have elaborated more. At this point, the shaft won't screw out.

The shaft isn't threaded (at least mine isn't) so it doesn't 'screw' out, it's just stuck. The right combination of WD40 or penetrating oil and percussive maintenance will shift it.

But what if there isn't a drummer around?

Then he'll finish removing it at the same speed he started at?
