Bass Evaluation near Wilmington,DE

I have a Paul Safran and Son Violin Co Bass from the late 50's, early 60's. Last restrung at Riccardi's in NJ. I read he passed. I want to update strings etc. and evaluate. Luthier suggestions please.

Though it's not exactly close to you, Jack Hill of Lawrenceville, NJ did a great job on my bass, and several friends of mine have had good experiences with him as well.

I believe you're thinking of the senior Riccardi. the son took over the business. I was there about a month ago.

He just did a great repair and set up on my Kay

Thanks for the input. Riccardi's and Jack Hill in Lawrenceville are places within reason.

David Mansbridge is a well regarded bass luthier in Maryland. He live just across the Bay Bridge in the Annapolis area, I believe Davidsonville. He does a lot of work for Balt., DC, bassists I'm told. Phone is 410-268-6698.
