Best quality bridge

HI, I am looking for bridge blanks. What is the best bridge out there and how do I get one ?

I´m not interested in an adj. bridge at this point.

Aubert? Despiau?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Glenn

Good question...

I'm interested in hearing from the knowledgebale TB luthiers about this also.

I'm not sure, but I think Robertson's typically use Despiau grade C ("one tree") French-style bridges.

I haven't yet, but I want to find a grade A ("three tree") Despiau for my Toenniges. My Laborie came with two bridges, both Belgian style. The extra had a much finer, even grain compared to the first. When I switched them out, the sound immediately gained the depth and volume I was looking for.

I'm not sure the brand matters so much as the quality of the wood.

Sounds good. I have a Patrick Charton bass and want to get another bridge for it.
Thanks for the help.
