Block Blank Dimensions

Can someone give me some approx numbers for the dimensions of the neck, corner and end block blanks for Chandler's panormo pattern? I don't have the plans yet, just the book and I'm inquiring into some good sitka spruce.

Edit: I'll take it a step further, if you have some blanks to offer, PM me.

Cody, there are no such things as "blanks" for bass blocks. You need to find appropriately large wood and cut your own parts. Sometimes makers laminate the neck block from two pieces. Gordon Carson of Mountain Voice Tonewoods has some thick Engelmann spruce that would work. Good luck!

Thanks Arnold! I knew that there weren't blanks pre-made. I just wanted some rough dimensions to cut from a trunk and still have some room to work with. I'm working on getting a half-round or a round of some good sitka right now, however I am still looking for ribs and a back. Do you know if your guy has anything in that direction?

He has some very nice Black Poplar, but no Maple. The Poplar is plain but has nice ribbon-like grain. In general, neck blocks are about 7" wide, 7" deep and 3-4" thick. Corners are about 2" by 2" and as long as the rib depth. Tailblocks are usually about 1 1/2 to 2" thick, 5" wide and as long as the rib depth. I hope this is helpful.
