I saw Michael Hartery on Monday for some work on my Shen hybrid. I just moved from the west coast to Vermont, and my bass developed a little buzzard on the a and e strings. Michael took his time, leveled the board, adjusted the nut, tweaked the post and replaced the tailpiece. He did an OUTSTANDING job, and was incredibly patient. My bass was loud before, but even Michael was suprised at the volume it has now. It was a real treat to stand out front and hear him play it (and very well, to boot!)
I really recommend his work, and he's a flat-out nice guy, to boot! My bass and I are much happier! BTW, he has a piece of figured walnut glued up for a bass he's building that he got from Arnold......H-O-L-Y C-O-W! Gorgeous pice of wood that will make one bee-yootiful back!
