Bowed or Flat Back

Bowed or Flat Back? what tone quality does each style give?
Do you hear a difference in tone using a Sitka top, and Maple back/sides compared to outher woods, meanig does one complement another.

Hey Cowboy, if you click on the "Search this Forum" button up at the top right and type in "Sitka Top" or "Carved or Flat Back" or "Double Bass Plans" you'll find pages of earnest discussion on those topics.
