I have brass adjusters in both my basses ( a 52 Kay and a 1890 German flatback), i had solid bridges and aluminum adjusters in the past,(the brass ones really are nice in the way that its very easy to turn them, they never get stuck) honestly i could feel some difference with a solid bridge when playing at home, but i wonder if you guys can fell any diference when playing in a club with piano, drums, sax, whatever... if so, you really have much bigger ears than me.
i could hear subtle differences playing alone, in the real world playing live with a band, not really.
