| bridge height question I apologize in advance -- I'm sure this has been discussed in these forums already, but I wasn't finding the answer I was looking for in searching....
When trimming the height of a bridge, how low can you realistically go before compromising the strength and/or sound quality?
I understand when setting up action, a good indicator is how close the strings are to fingerboard at the bottom of the neck. I also understand that this varies depending on personal style and possibly the type of bridge.
My question more relates to the physical indicators to look out for when trimming. How can you tell by looking at the bridge that you shouldn't go any lower?
