buzz problem

Im saving all my money for a better upright, and ANYTHING is better than what I got now..... a 2004 Palatino 3/4. I've done what I can to have a good set up, and I do my best to maintain it as it is my only source of income these days. I DO NOT plan on putting large chunks of money to repair any major problems with it.
The problem with these chinese made models is that they can come apart at the seams, I have already had to reglue once, and it came out alright.
Being in Humid New Orleans has swollen the body a bit, and now Im getting a new buzz when I play certain notes, (specifically, the Low E, high E and the high D). It sounds like its coming from the edge of the body, but it only stops when pressure is put on the belly just below the bottom of the F-hole on the high G side. My fear is that it is an internal crack, and I either need to pitch this thing, or try and repair it myself. If anyone has any troubleshooting methods to find a viable solution, Im all ears. I know its hard to diagnose these things purely from what I can TELL you, but maybe ... just maybe a miracle can take place so I can get back to work. For now, I may try and glue and clamp a portion of the front where the plys are separating. Thanks for makin it all the way to the end of this post!

I would buy a stethoscope or contact mic and use it to try to pinpoint where the buzz was coming from. Have you looked inside with a mirror? If not, you should.

Maybe I will get shot for saying this, but if I was on my last leg with it like you, once I found the separation, I would clean the old glue out as best as possible and use regular wood glue and glue it that way. If that fails, epoxy. I would do that if I was on my last leg and didn't want to take it to a luthier and dump anymore money into it.

Thanks Champagne! I tried to locate the buzz with a mirror, no luck. Seems like a stethoscope might be the way to go!
Its seems to be in a pretty tricky location to clean and apply anything, but its worth a shot. General are seems to be about 2 inches below the f-hole, this laminate top is a three piece, and the seam is right in the middle of the bottom of the f-hole..... this things just fallin apart.
Luckily we dont have a gig for a couple weeks, so I can take my time and be detailed as possible. Im more focused on getting a better bass as it is, about ready to throw this thing out the window!! Thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep ya posted through this thread!

place your better ear above the nut, much like you would near your ear on a RR track to hear if a train is coming.

With your ear about 2mm from the E nutnotch pluck the string and listen for A buzz-then repeat on A D and G Poorly fitted strings laying in poorly made nutnotch will buzz like a bromer bull breaking wind- the crazy thing is the buzz will sound in other areas of the bass, but with your ear on top of the nut grove, you will capture the buzz sound in your ear very clearly. A notch made too wide will cause the buzz.
