buzzing tuning key HELP!!

The leaf of one of my tuning machines (the D string) got a good knock, and now it buzzes like crazy. This had happened once before to the same tuning key (if fact I posted about it before). Before I had taken the entire gear off and pounded the key with a heavy hammer to close the gap, and then filled it with super glue, but Mike Shank said it would only be a temporary fix. I didn't realize it would be so short lived. It's frustrating and distracting, making it hard to practice. Should I repeat the same process, or is there something better I can do? Much thanks.

For a quick fix you can put a rubber band, tape, or something like silly putty or modeling clay on it. Other than that, I don't really know. Maybe it could be soldered or something.

When that happened to me I just put a rubber band around it and forgot about it. solved the problem.

Take it off and solder it.
