C-extension closer question
What is the backing material on capo closures? I think I need to replace mine. Should I use hide glue in this situation?

It's almost always leather for sliding/rotating closures. Rubber for machine extensions. On wood capos, the leather is almost always attached with hide glue. Why do you think you need to replace it?
