C extensions- your opinions

I need a C extension for a touring Broadway show I'll be doing in a few months. I'm primarily a jazz player and never thought I would need one but as I'm getting some high paying theater work, so it may be a good long term investment, although I may just rent a bass. I would like one that has separate stops along the board. I'm considering either the Robertson's extension or one from Bob Ross; these are my two best options in my region (Denver).

Does anyone know of anyone else I might consider, even if it means shipping the bass out?

P.S. I had a steinholm mechanical extension on two previous basses and hated it!

My suggestion is to go with your local guy. Extensions are fussy things that need servicing, and the person who builds it knows it best (and is therefore the best person to service it).

I hadn't thought of that.

See, now that's the kind of professional prudent advice you can get nowhere besides TB!
