Carbon vs. Steel Quick Compare

I threw on a steel rod style post this morning and made
a few quick measurements and what I saw was that it
seemed to kill the E-string volume preferentially.
I will need to do some more careful work, but there is
a preliminary result (about 4 db down). G may have
actually been 1 db louder with steel, but as I say these
are very preliminary results.

Jake, I will try to start taking some pics for emailing.

I like the gun drilling idea quite a bit, but Al density is
about 2.5 and brass is typically over 8.0, so changing
material as well would be a big help (g/cc units).

Yes indeed, but they have a completely different-sized string post and footprint.

I also wanted to alter the originals so as to see the difference the weight removal made, without additional changes to mask the results.
