Cheap Endpin Stopper Idea

I just got a killer score on an old Kay (49 M1) and got it restored. It's great! I needed an end pin stopper, and my luthier just popped a champagne cork on the tip... I can't believe I've never thought of this??? It works great. He hollowed it out about half way thru, and its a snugg fit. I threw a couple more in my bag in case it gets knocked off, but its a pretty tight fit. Thought I'd pass the idea along...

Cool! Unfortunatlely my wine comes from a box, or a big jugg with a screw-on cap.
